Most engagements require an upfront deposit to begin work, typically 30–50% of the total project fee depending on scope. Deposits secure your place in our delivery schedule and cover initial discovery and planning work, and are generally non-refundable once work has begun.
For larger engagements, remaining fees are typically split across delivery milestones. If a project is cancelled partway through, you are responsible for payment covering work completed up to the point of cancellation; any unearned advance payment beyond that point will be refunded.
If you need to cancel a project, contact your project manager as early as possible. We'll calculate the value of work completed to date and refund any remaining balance from advance payments, less any non-refundable deposit already applied.
Monthly retainer engagements can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. Fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable, but no further charges will apply after the notice period ends.
Refund and payment terms for a specific engagement are ultimately governed by the signed proposal or statement of work for that project, which takes precedence over this general policy. Contact hello@artovatedigital.com with any questions.
